Maric number one in West Asia Super League for round 14

Croatian Center Marin Maric (211-C-1994, agency: BIG) had a great game in the last round for top-ranked Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 14.
The 30-year old player was the main contributor (21 points, nine rebounds and five assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Al-Difaa (#5, 1-6) 94-79. It allowed Al Riyadi to consolidate first place in the West Asia Super League. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. It's already very far into the season and Al Riyadi keeps a perfect 7-0 record. Maric just recently signed at Al Riyadi, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Marin Maric averages just after three games 11.3ppg and 11.0rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Zach Lofton (193-G-1992, agency: Slash Sports) of Sagesse - Al Hekmeh Beirut. Lofton had a very good evening with 40 points and 6 assists. Bad luck as Sagesse lost that game 85-100 to league's leader Al Riyadi (#1, 7-0). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Sagesse still maintains its place in the top 3 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-4 record. Lofton is a newcomer at Sagesse, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.0ppg (#3). He also recorded 7.3 assists per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Jordan Hamilton (201-F-1990) of Al-Difaa Aljawie (#5). Hamilton showcased his all-around game by recording 17 points, 14 rebounds (!!!) and 7 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Al-Difaa, leading his team to a 92-68 easy win against slightly higher-ranked Amman United (#4, 2-6). Al-Difaa can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-6 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Hamilton has individually a great season in West Asia Super League. After only 7 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 4.6apg (9th best).
